Lead Generation Strategies are varied and can be somewhat confusing in that variety. Which ones are the best and which ones fit your style and skill set? This article will cut through some of that confusion and help you find the one best for you and your opportunity.

Let’s take a look at some of the various ways you can generate leads on the Internet. This is, after all, the best place to invest your time and talents looking for leads. There are millions of people on the Internet looking for home based businesses and ways to earn additional income.

Content Marketing is one of the simplest and easy ways to generate leads if you are comfortable writing. Get a hosting account, start a blog and find some article directories on which you can post your articles, and you will begin generating leads.

Of course, you should have a capture page and an auto-responder in place to help you track and develop those leads, but that is the subject of another article. These will be covered later, so watch for those articles soon.

There are several good places that, for a fee, will distribute your articles for you to many directories, saving you a bundle of time and energy. Unique Article Wizard and TrafficGeyser are two very good such services.

Once you have established yourself in the article writing circle, you can then branch out to another very good lead generation source - YouTube, or video marketing. Video marketing is very simple in its concept, but not necessarily simple in its application.

Anyone utilizing video marketing should have a good presentation in that they look professional and speak professionally. You are selling yourself and your knowledge and should, therefore, look the part of a professional business person. I’m not suggesting you wear a shirt and tie or the equivalent for a woman, but you should be dressed nicely and speak professionaly.

Again, there are distribution services such as TubeMogul and PixlePipe that can help you distribute your video to the various video hosting sites. You will want to have a link back to your original article to raise your Search Engine Ranking so that you will garner more attention and leads.

A third way to generate leads is on social media such as FaceBook. There are many strategies that can be employed here, but the overarching principle is to make as many, like minded friends as possible. By like minded I mean those who are involved, or interested in Network Marketing or whatever it is you are trying to promote.

One note of caution here, if you are promoting a network marketing opportunity, DO NOT LEAD WITH THAT OPPORTUNITY!!  This is the best way to FAIL! You should lead with information, techniques, ideas, anything of value.

On social media, you must have the mind set of helping people find success with THEIR opportunity, not yours, if you want to be successful.

Free classifieds, forums, e-zines, are a few other ways you can generate leads on the Internet without spending a lot of money. Of course, if you have a lot of money, there are many ways to buy leads such as Adsense and PPC to name just two. But for most people, working for the leads rather than buying leads is a better solution.

Lead generation is, again, simple, but you have to really have in mind helping those leads to find success. You can best do that if you can have a system available that they can plug into that will aid them in their opportunity. It could be that their opportunity isn’t working well for them and perhaps they will jump to yours after they see that you are an expert and can help them.
