I think that this forum is a great idea and has great potential, but also can attract the mass of spammers and marketeers that have made facebook so notorious lately. I thing we should learn a few things that were already done there, some being.

1. A Group Owner has the option to moderate all incoming posts or messages, or block entirely messages or people who spam the particular group. I have just started a group and someone who will go nameless, and faceless for that matter..using a fake photo I would assume...already spammed the group....arrrrrgh! She "He, It, They" didn't even join!!

2. To be able to change the login from Facebook, I signed in under my personal account instead of my business account on Facebook. I would like to change this if at all possible.

3. To be able to report other members for blantantly spamming, and if a member gets a certain amount of "demerits" freeze their account for a bit. Let this be a self policing organically grown place to collaborate.

These are only 3 I can think of at the moment. Please anyone add to these if you can. THX. Jay Couture

Thanks for your suggestions, John. Yeah, we hate spam just as much as anyone and constantly monitor the site for it.

The following are answers to your questions:

1. As a "Group Owner," you have the ability to choose who can and cannot comment, etc. The ability to control this can be found in your group settings when creating the group. It can also be edited afterward.

We are well aware of the spammer you are referring to, and he/she has already been warned by us twice for email spamming reported by 5 members. This person is also aware that there will be no more warnings.

2. You'll need to completely log out of MLMSocial, go to http://www.mlmsocial.com/login.php and use "Facebook Connect." It will ask you for your new login credentials.

3. We already have this in place, and one member has already been banned. Our TOS, Tutorial on the "What's New" page, and "Info and Announcements" topic on our forum all explain what's acceptable behavior on MLMSocial and what is not. If you feel that someone is violating our rules and regulations, click on "Report this Person" under his or her picture. Also, you can click on "Block this Person" if you don't want to receive any further emails from them.

I hope this helps!
